Perched majestically over the sea for centuries, the Old Fortress has guarded Corfu Town and offers one of the most breathtaking views on the island.
The Spianada, the largest square in the Balkans, stretches between the Old Fortress and elegant historic buildings, a place where cricket matches, leisurely strolls, and the unhurried rhythm of Corfu come together.
Pentophanaro, named after its distinctive five lamps, is one of the best-loved meeting points in the old town, where the narrow alleyways converge into a small, picturesque square.
The Liston, with its elegant arches and historic cafés, is Corfu's most cosmopolitan spot, where French-inspired architecture meets a leisurely coffee beneath the arcades overlooking the Spianada.
The Holy Church of Saint Spyridon, built in 1589, houses the relics of Corfu's patron and protector, whom locals believe saved the island many times from famine, plague, and siege; it's even said his cloth slippers wear out each year as he walks the streets by night helping those in need, which is w
The Garden of the People, laid out in 1833 as the aristocratic garden of the Palace of St. Michael and St. George, is today a lush, shady retreat with panoramic views of the Old Fortress, the sea, and the islet of Vido perfect for a quiet moment away from the crowds.
Chalikounas beach, an endless golden ribbon of sand separating the Ionian Sea from the Korission lagoon, offers shallow, clear waters for a relaxing swim and one of Corfu's most magical sunsets — best admired right from the sea as you swim.

Stazei Meli ("Dripping Honey") is Corfu's most beloved loukoumades spot, where in a picturesque arcaded alley you'll find hot doughnuts —sweet, stuffed, or savory— drizzled with local honey and served in endless flavor combinations. At Stazei Meli don't miss the "chocolate explosion" loukoumades, with the best Ferrero-style topping we've ever tasted, as well as the savory loukoumades — the original Greek version that will absolutely win you over.
At My Habit, an all-day spot in the heart of Corfu Town, we enjoyed juicy handmade burgers and a fresh salad paired with a local Corfiot beer — with fantastic service from start to finish.

Diaplo, a small uninhabited islet between Othonoi and Mathraki, with its rugged rocky shore and crystal-clear waters, is a perfect stop for a refreshing dip amid the untouched serenity of the Ionian Sea.
Mathraki, the smallest and greenest of the Diapontia Islands, with its dense olive groves, stone paths, and the endless sandy beach of Portello, is a miniature haven of tranquility far from any tourist bustle.
Aspri Ammos, one of Greece's most beautiful beaches on Othonoi, with fine white sand, deep blue crystal-clear waters, and imposing cliffs, is accessible only by sea and lies beside the mythical Calypso Cave — where, according to legend, the nymph held Odysseus captive for seven years.
Valanio, a picturesque mountain village in northern Corfu built in the 15th century, is renowned for its deep musical tradition — nearly all its residents are involved in music, with the legendary "Koro" choir keeping Corfiot songs and the improvised "arekia" alive.

The Monastery of the Virgin Mary in Paleokastritsa, built in the 13th century high above the sea, with its whitewashed buildings, blooming gardens, and breathtaking views over the verdant bays, is a serene oasis of faith and beauty.
Porto Timoni, one of Corfu's most spectacular beaches, accessible only on foot or by sea, stuns with its twin bays sharing a narrow strip of land, offering crystal-clear turquoise waters on both sides.
The Canal d'Amour in Sidari, with its time-sculpted sandstone cliffs and turquoise waters, owes its name to the legend that any couple who swims through the channel will stay together forever.
Palaia Perithia, the oldest village in Corfu at the foot of Mount Pantokrator, is a Venetian "ghost village" of stone mansions and picturesque alleys where time seems to have stood still centuries ago, while its traditional tavernas serve wonderful, authentic Corfiot food.

At Taverna Evdokia, a traditional family-run taverna in the main square of Palaia Perithia, we enjoyed wonderful pastitsada, bourdeto, and oven-baked lamb — authentic Corfiot dishes made with love, set against the magical backdrop of Corfu's oldest village. The service was exceptional, warm, and welcoming from the very first moment, making our meal an unforgettable experience.
The legendary Galaktopoleio Periklis Alexis, a tiny family-run spot in the old town dating back to 1926, is famed for its aromatic Corfiot butter, rice pudding, and the island's finest galaktoboureko — a favorite even of Onassis, who had its butter flown to London.

At Lazaris Distillery & Artisan Sweets, an iconic Corfiot distillery and handmade-sweets workshop running since 2005, we tasted and stocked up on authentic local flavors, the famous PGI-certified kumquat liqueur, limoncello, ouzo, nougat, and loukoumi, with the chance to sample everything before b
At Sweet 'N Spicy, a wonderful spice shop tucked away in the alleys of the old town, you'll find the authentic spetsieriko — the traditional spice blend that gives Corfiot pastitsada its distinctive flavor. It's absolutely worth it, as you can use it in all your tomato-based dishes, and every spice
At Pasta, a traditional handmade-pasta workshop in Corfu Town, we stocked up on hilopites, vegetable pasta, trahanas, and striking squid-ink hilopites — all made from pure semolina. We cooked them as soon as we got back from our holiday and they were fantastic: rich in flavor and never leaving you b
At Cafe Kanoni we stopped for a quick bite and grabbed a burger, taking in the iconic view of the Vlacherna Monastery, the picturesque Pontikonisi (Mouse Island), and the airplanes taking off and landing just a few meters above our heads — a unique experience that makes eating here unforgettable.
